About this NMMS scheme:- This scheme is for encouraging the students to learn more by providing them monetary benefits. Under this scheme, applications are invited for centrally sponsored NMMS for the current year 2013-14.
Apply Online For National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme 2013-14 :-
This scheme is applicable only for those candidates whose parental income is not more than 150000 Rs per annum. This is on quarterly basis and its quantum is up to 6000 Rs per annum i.e. 500 Rs per month. This scheme will provide the maximum benefit for 4 years. The last day for submission of application forms is August, 2013.Applications are available for download from the official website of the institute.Under this scheme, it is proposed to award 100,000 scholarships .
National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme:-Procedure For Selection These may consist of multiple choice questions. Duration allotted for test will be of 90 minutes.
National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme: Continuation of scholarship
The candidate should get promotion from respective school from class8th to class 9th.Minimum of 55 % marks are there in class 8th and class 9th.
As now this is a very good scheme for the students and they can get maximum benefits from it as well as it will also help to make there carrier brighter and brighter.
Important Facts For NMMS 2013- 2014 Qualified Students :-
For selecting the students, the following conditions may apply:
(i) The students must pass both the tests i.e. MAT and SAT with at least 40% marks in each. For the reserved category this cut off will be 32% marks.
(ii) The parental income of the students should not be more than Rs. 1.50 lakh per annum from all sources.
(iii) At the time of selection for the award of scholarship the candidate must have scored at least 55% marks or equivalent grade in Class VIII examination. There will be 5 % relaxation for SC/ST.
(iv) The awardees should satisfy the eligibilities and the conditions mentioned in the scheme.
Each state will have its own mode for selection of students who will be eligible for grant of scholarship. There may be two types of test:-
1. Mental ability test
2. Scholastic Aptitude test
